I’m a Birth Arts International trained Doula and Child Birth Educator serving women in Hood, Erath, Somerville, Tarrant, Johnson, and Parker counties. I am passionate about serving women through their journey into motherhood.
Often times pregnant and laboring women feel completely out of control of their own bodies and babies. It is common practice for women to be treated as though they have no authority regarding their health care. My role in these situations is to remind women that they are in charge of their bodies .
Knowledge is power. My job is to provide mothers with as much information as possible so that they can make educated decisions regarding their care.
Every woman deserves to be supported during pregnancy and labor regardless of her birth plans. This job can sometimes be difficult for the woman’s partner who may have different views or desires about the birth. My job is to support the mothers decisions as well as to provide physical support during this incredible and sometimes overwhelming time.
The Greek word doula literally translates to female servant. The role of a doula is to serve the pregnant and laboring mother by offering physical and emotional support. This support can come in many forms such as valuable non biased information, continuous care during labor and birth, and a kind and gentle presence to bring peace and assurance in such an overwhelming time of a woman’s life.
I offer several service packages to fit your individual needs and budget. Did you know that hiring a doula can actually save you money?
